What are Swapps?

Swapps are digital brand-specific experiences that are enabled through interactions with Switems, Personas, and Swap badges. Swapps are designed to provide users with a unique and engaging way to interact with brands and their products. They allow users to access exclusive content, promotions, and rewards by scanning Switems, Personas, and Swap badges.

How do Swapps work?

Swapps work by leveraging the data stored on Switems, Personas, and Swap badges to create customised experiences for users. When a user interacts with a Switem, Persona, or Swap badge, the data stored on the device is read and used to trigger specific actions within the Swapp. These actions can include displaying product information, offering discounts, or providing access to exclusive content. Swapps are comprised of these components:
  1. Views: Views are the different screens or pages that make up the Swapp. They can include product pages, promotional offers, and interactive experiences.
  2. Widgets: Widgets are interactive elements that allow users to engage with the Swapp. They can include buttons, sliders, and forms.
  3. Config: Config are the settings and parameters that control the behaviour of the Swapp.
  4. Swapp Bucket: The Swapp Bucket is a cloud-based storage system that stores the data and assets used by the Swapp. It allows brands to update and manage their Swapps remotely. The swapp bucket is made up of 2 parts
    • Swapp Data: This is a JSON file that contains all the data used by the Swapp.
    • Swapp Blob: This is a storage system that allows the Swapp to access images, videos, and other assets.

How do I access Swapps?

Swapps can be accessed by scanning Switems using the Swapnice app. When a user scans a Switem, the Hub associated with that Switem is automatically opened. From the Hub, users can access the Swapp by clicking on the Swapp button. This will launch the Swapp and display the customised experience for that Switem.

Swapp Demo: [FearZU]

Check out one of our success stories: FearZU. They are an indie card game company that used Swapps to create a unique and engaging experience for their customers. By scanning their Switems, customers were able to access exclusive leaderboard comprised of only people who have purchased this card. This allowed them to compete with other players and win prizes.
